Get a Straighter Smile With Invisalign®

In the late 1990s, an adult orthodontics patient created a new way to straighten teeth, and it completely changed the way dentists and patients think about orthodontic treatment. Prior to that, achieving a straighter smile required metal hardware, like braces or retainers. Now, it’s possible to discreetly get the smile you deserve with Invisalign®!

Invisalign is a system of plastic aligners. Each one is virtually invisible and custom-made to your mouth, so your friends and colleagues probably won’t even notice you’re wearing one. Each aligner facilitates incremental movement of your teeth that, over the course of treatment, make a huge difference.

This orthodontic treatment is as easy to use as it is discreet, too. All you have to do is wear an aligner for 20 to 22 hours a day. You’ll remove your aligner when you eat, as well as when you brush and floss your teeth. Every week or so, you’ll swap out your aligner for the next in the series.

Because they’re easily removable, there’s no need to worry about the inconveniences braces-wearers experience, such as pokey wires and bulky hardware that can be dislodged while you’re playing sports.

If you’re curious about Invisalign, either on its own or as part of a more comprehensive smile makeover, give us a call. We’re proud to offer Invisalign, and we think you’ll like the product as much as we do.

Dental Veneers: Conceal What Bothers You About Your Smile

You’ve probably heard of dental veneers. Even if you haven’t, you’ve probably seen them. Dental veneers are often used to give celebrities flawless smiles. But the results are generally so natural-looking that you wouldn’t know that these stars have had cosmetic dental work done!

Dental veneers are thin shells of porcelain or composite material, custom-made to look like the front of a natural, healthy tooth. They’re bonded to teeth to hide imperfections underneath, such as:

  • Broken or cracked teeth
  • Chipped teeth
  • Discoloration, especially intrinsic staining
  • Worn down or misshapen teeth
  • Minor misalignment issues
  • Small gaps between teeth

At 1st In Smiles, we’re proud to offer a popular brand of dental veneers called Lumineers®, which are thinner than traditional porcelain dental veneers. Because they’re so thin, Lumineers can be made and placed in just two visits for a dramatic smile transformation.

Unlike traditional porcelain veneers, Lumineers usually require little if any removal of healthy enamel. And the placement of your dental veneers is a comfortable procedure that typically only takes about an hour.

Plus, Lumineers are easy to care for. You’ll take care to avoid habits and foods that could dislodge your dental veneers, but beyond that, you’ll simply care for them like natural teeth! With proper care, your dental veneers can last you 20 years or more.

Remove Years of Stains With Teeth Whitening

If you’re like many Americans, your day starts with a nice, hot cup of coffee. While coffee is great for giving you a little push to get your morning started, it’s also not so great for your teeth. Repeated exposure to coffee and other problematic beverages — like tea and red wine — can stain your teeth and dull your smile.

Not to worry though! It’s easy to remove those stains safely and efficiently with professional teeth whitening treatments from 1st In Smiles. We offer both in-office and at-home bleaching treatments that are more effective than anything you’ll find in the supermarket or drugstore.

In fact, our in-office Opalescence Boost advanced teeth whitening system will remove years of stains in just one hour.
