Choose Sedation Without Needles (Video)

If needles are one of the things that make you anxious about visiting the dentist, you’ll want to choose sedation without needles at 1st in Smiles. Fortunately, that’s not a problem!

As you’ll hear Dr. Rick Barfield explain in our video, you can receive two kinds of sedation without needles:

  • Laughing Gas which is inhaled through a small mask over your nose
  • Oral Sedation in the form of a prescription pill

Either form of dental sedation will help you relax and receive your treatment with no anxiety. Unlike many general dentists, we also offer IV sedation for more extreme cases of dental fear. Unlike the other methods, though, it is administered via a needle.
