Like many adults, brushed but flossing was not my thing. And I wore braces as a teenager and of course when back in the day you would have top and bottom retainers and just never wore them. So my teeth became very crooked. And so just something that I wanted to do, but was nervous about starting back up to the dental because I knew that when I went in there I assumed that it would be a whole list of things that would have to be done prior to doing Invisalign and the things that I wanted which was a pretty smile.
So came in and met with Doctor Barfield and he asked me what five things, five things and rated them you know, one, two, three. And so of course straightening and whitening were my first two. And so we did the exam and he said, okay, well I think we can get by with taking care of the cosmetic first and then we’ll take care of, I had some crowns that needed to be done. And so we did that and of course the deep cleaning was a result. But there was no, it was never, what do they call it, dental shaming for not flossing. They just kept up with the deep cleaning and got me back on track.
It was not painful at all. And she worked a long time on my mouth, I will say that, but no, it wasn’t painful or unpleasant. And when it was over, I felt good about what we had done and was ready to move on to the next procedure.
